Cameroonian youth creates Africa’s own messaging app, Dikalo.

Alain Ekambi is the name of the Cameroonian who set up this new messaging application identical to WhatsApp.

Asked by Medi TV, a media based in Morocco, the creator of the application explained that its platform is very timely in an environment where “communication in Africa, at the application level, is controlled 99.9% by foreign platforms such as Facebook, twiter, whatsapp and snapchat ”.

This is why he believes that “Africans must create their own platforms in order to better control them”.
