Salatiel who goes by the real name Salatiel Livenja Bessong is a Cameroonian songwriter, producer, singer and performer.
Born on December 26th 1987 from Manyu, the “High Man general ” as he is popular called is an Afrobeats, Afro-pop and hip-hop artist.
Like many great American musicians, Salatiel made his debut in music as a composer and performer in churches in 2005 , Yaoundé. In 2007, his studies took him to Buea where he began to practice production and mastering at the M1 studio with Emile Ngumbah. Working for studio M1, Salatiel produced a record of over 1000 songs for 300 different artists.
In 2009, Salatiel participated in Mutzig star and became the winner. He was also the winner of Nescafe African Revelation in Cameroon and vice-African champion. With his group Da-thrill with him, he produced an album “New Dawn” in 2014. In 2013, he opened his studio Alpha Better Records where he worked with Mr. Leo. 2014, marked the beginning of his solo career and he participated in the music competition “MTN make the music” and become champion with the title “Fap kolo”.
From July to August 2015, he made a European tour during which he participated in the biggest Jazz festival in Spain “Splash Reggae Festival”. The second single “ça se passe ici”, released at the start of 2016, announced his very first 13-track album, entitled “I am salatiel” with many featuring with Skales, Minks, Duc-z, Dynastie, Mr Leo, Featurists, just to name a few.

This 2020, Salatiel was featured by Beyoncé in her album Lion King; the gift. This singer is the first and only Cameroonian artist to ever have such a big collabora deal.
