Thanks to Celtic’s draw on Sunday, Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers were crowned Scottish champions for the first time in ten years.

It is done. Ten years after their last coronation, the Glasgow Rangers are back to the top of Scottish football. Thanks to Celtic’s draw this Sunday against Dundee United, Steven Gerrard’s team won their 55th title in history, a record in the country’s championship.

This is the first major trophy for the Gers since they went into receivership in 2012 and their demotion to the fourth division.

Steven Gerrard, the Liverpool legend, had a perfect season and thus put an end to the hegemony of Celtic’s nemesis, champion every year since 2012.
