Paris Saint-Germain have suffered another setback, losing 1-0 to Lille in Ligue 1 to further complicate their title defence.

Mauricio Pochettino, who took over as coach in January, has been criticised in the French media and he has been accused of unsuccessfully trying to mimic his former coach Marcelo Bielsa’s style of play.

“Pochettino is installing this idea in his team, but they lack the mobility, pace and high intensity needed to make it work,” an article in L’Equipe stated.

Neymar under scrutiny too
Neymar, who was sent off against Lille, has been criticised in the French media too.

“He is a fantastic player, but his behaviour is not the behaviour of a teammate,” said French footballing legend Bixente Lizarazu.

PSG have seven rounds of Ligue 1 action left to try to win the title. They’re currently three points behind Lille in the standings.
