Senegalese football star, Sadio Mané appreciates Cameroonians for their amazing support during the African Cup Of Nations 2021 and extends his condolences to families of the Victims of the Olembe stadium stampede which led to 8 lives lost.
Senegal defeated Egypt in the Finals of the AFCON2021, with Sadio Mane awarded overall best player of this tournament and Senegal winning the Cup for their very first time.
Sadio then took to his Facebook page to say this:
“ Slowly I’m realizing what happened during the last days and still sometimes I think I am dreaming. So proud of all of us, I can’t even find the words what it means to me. We wrote history! Thank you for all your messages and support. I also want to say thank you toa lol Cameroonian people,it was an amazing CAN with a great atmosphere. You all were a perfect host of this tournament
“In all this I don’t want to forget my condolences to the families of all victims who lost their lifes during the tragical stadium accident. We will never forget you.”
